Can Gravel help me avoid hiring a dispatcher?+
That’s what Gravel Pro is designed to help with. Dispatch Autopilot takes on repetitive planning and scheduling so an owner can manage more of the day without a dedicated dispatch hire. You stay in control and handle exceptions. The right staffing setup depends on your workload; we’ll walk through it in your demo. If you already have dispatchers, Gravel helps them spend less time on routine coordination.
Do I need to be good with software?+
You don’t need to become a software expert. Gravel keeps the daily work in one place and gives drivers a clear next step. We help configure your operation and walk your team through a complete job before you go live.
What about small dumpsters, large roll-offs, or dump trailers?+
Bring us your setup: small dumpsters, large roll-offs, dump trailers, or a mixed operation. We review your equipment and workflow together, confirm the fit, and agree on any additional configuration needed before launch. Your demo is the place to check your particular sizes and trailer setup.
Is Gravel for a small business or a larger fleet?+
Both. The demo and setup are shaped around your operation, from an owner-operator handling the whole day to a larger team with dedicated dispatchers and drivers. We review your fleet, users, workflow, and requirements together before launch.
Is Gravel a separate product from NorthStar?+
Yes. Gravel is the software product, developed from the operational platform used by NorthStar Rolloff. Each operating company is configured separately, with its own users and business data.
Can I use my own company name and pricing?+
Yes. Your operating workspace supports a business profile, contact details, service area, rates, pricing programs, and account-specific settings. We review the configuration with you during onboarding.
Does it work on a driver’s phone?+
Yes. The driver workspace is designed for a mobile browser, with assigned work, job details, proof photos, weight tickets, and supported offline evidence capture. Navigation and connected services need a network connection.
How much does it cost per month?+
Gravel Core is $199 per month and Gravel Pro is $349 per month, in USD per operating company. Both include your team’s access and guided setup. Pro adds Dispatch Autopilot. Payment processing, messaging and mapping usage, taxes, and custom data migration are separate. Submitting a demo request does not start a subscription or charge you.
Can customers book and pay online?+
The operating platform includes customer booking, rental history, invoices, and Stripe checkout. Payment and messaging services are connected and verified for your company before live use.
What does getting started involve?+
We walk through your operation, configure your business details and rates, bring in your initial inventory and users, and test a complete rental with your team before launch.
